Margaritaville Fiji Blender Review

Posted on | June 13, 2010 | No Comments

If you’re looking to throw a party that your family, friends and guests will remember for a long time, then you need to make sure the drinks keep coming throughout the night.

Don’t be embarrassed by a poorly blended frozen margarita or worse, no drink at all because of faulty blending equipment.  Instead, consider adding a Margaritaville Fiji Blender (DM2000) to your entertaining equipment.  With this professional grade margarita maker you have the power of a professional bartender in your hands.

Take A Look At What The Margaritaville Fiji Blender Has To Offer

The Fiji has four automated settings for ease of use along with manual controls to blend your drinks using your own margarita mixer recipe.

In addition, it is pre-programmed to blend margaritas, smoothies, slides, daiquiris and any other frozen concoction you can dream up.  The Fiji features a large capacity ice reservoir so that the drinks never stop flowing throughout the night.  In fact, the Margaritaville Fiji frozen concoction machine can prepare between two and three pitchers of your famous frozen drinks in a single mixing.

Need shaved ice for sno-cones for the kids?  No problem, this Margaritaville maker can do that too.

But, Is The Margaritaville Fiji Worth The Price?

Admittedly, the Fiji Margaritaville Blender costs more than the competition.  Retail is normally around $500 dollars, but mega outlets such as Amazon offer the Fiji Blender for much less.

This is a professional grade piece of bartending equipment.  The Margaritaville Fiji is made of heavy duty stainless steel and brushed nickel and a glass blending jar.  Really, the decision to pay extra for a professional grade blender depends upon how you intend to use it.  If you only entertain occasionally, you can get by with an off the shelf consumer blender.

What Did I Like About The Margaritaville Fiji?

On the plus side, the Fiji has the power and tough construction to make the perfect frozen drinks.

Your guests will not be choking or crunching on uncrushed ice chunks or gagging on poorly blended margarita mix.  Instead, the Fiji crushes the ice into small consistent pieces or shavings – perfect for thick and tasty Smoothies, Daiquiris And other frozen concoctions.

No more pools of water riding on top of your frozen drinks.  Because it has the power and construction of a professional piece of bartending equipment, the motor does not hesitate when crushing ice.  Finally, the stainless steel and nickel materials make the Fiji easy to clean.  Only the water reservoir and blending jar need to be cleaned with soap and water.  The rest of the machine simply needs to be wiped down.

You get to spend more time with your guests and less time cleaning just as the party gets started.

Even if you aren’t a professional mixologist, the Margaritaville Fiji is easy to operate and comes with detailed instructions for its use.  In addition, it sports a nice outer appearance.  Your guests will know that you are serious when it comes to entertaining your guests.

What I Did Not Like About The Fiji

The Fiji is bulky and heavy (as most professional grade pieces of equipment tend to be).  In addition, it is quite loud.  Your guests will know when your blending so the machine needs to be placed away from conversation areas when in continuous use.

Of course, the Fiji is more expensive than the off the shelf Wal Mart variety of blenders found in the average American home.  After searching the internet, it appears that the best price for the Margaritaville Fiji can be found on Amazon.  Plus, Amazon has the greatest selection of accessories in stock and offers free shipping in many cases.

Summary:  The Fiji Is Not Too Big And Not Too Small For The Active Entertainer

When Margaritaville Blender.net reviews blenders, we have to make an honest call.  Frankly, the Fiji Blender is not for the guy or gal that wants to occasionally make a drink at home.

However, entertainers who desire to prepare a large quantity of quality frozen drinks, should certainly consider Margaritaville line of blenders, particularly the Margaritaville Fiji Blender.  As you have seen with my other blenders reviews, this line of blenders can deliver….and the Fiji is no exception.

Of course, with a professional grade blender and concoction maker, you have to accept the added bulk, weight and noise.  I found this a small price to pay to serve the best drinks to my guests.

In the end, I’d pay $300 bucks for a blender that is gonna make me look good and last a long time.  I want my guests to have the best and, quite frankly, I like being “the Man” when it comes to slinging really cool and interesting drinks.

As a result, I see why the Fiji is a machine margarita fans love to use.
