Professional Equipment Doesn’t Come Cheap
Blenders are pretty expensive, but it is a restaurant quality blender that is worth the price. Adding to its durability is the unique feature that the Bahamas has two motors for shaving and blending ice.
Your friends and guest will certainly inquire about why you have a piece of professional bar tending equipment in your kitchen.

Shaved Ice Like You’d Find In A Restaurant
When the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker shaves ice is when the user begins to see the machine’s capabilities. The Margaritaville blender makes restaurant quality shaved ice. However, it is ice consistency that provides the key to making frozen drinks that will be all the rave.
Chunks of ice in your frozen margarita are very unappealing, but then again, so are watery over-blended drinks.
That is not even a concern with the Maragaritaville products. It could not possibly do the job any better.

Perfectly Mixed Frozen Concoctions – Every Time!
As a result, your drinks turn out with the perfect mix of margarita mix and alcohol – but you need to follow the instructions that are supplied with the Margaritaville Maker. You will forget you are at home. The machine also has a shot glass and salt rimmer that comes with it so you can perfectly salt margarita glasses.
I have even added sugar to the glass rimmer for sweet rimmed margaritas! The machine is not just for parties, but for eery day use as well.
My children love the machine to make snow cones that make you feel like you are at a beachside sno cone stand.

Heavy Duty And Ready To Work
The machine has a 32 ounce glass jar that makes 1, 2, or 3 drinks effortlessly by just pushing a button. The glass jar is nice because it has a large handle which makes it easier to hold the large amount of heavy frozen drink.
I am more that satisfied with the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker, the reservoir could be bigger. Even with the Maragaritaville Maker, the ice reservoir is kind of small and has to be refilled quite often.

Shaving ice is the primary cause of wear and tear on a motor, but the Margaritaville line comes with a one year warranty. I have had no problems with the Margaritaville blender and should have no problem having a great supply of frozen drinks for many years!
Margaritaville has five machines in their mine of frozen concoction makers, read my reviews and find the one that is perfect for your budget!

Margaritaville Tailgating Grill: An Honest Review From A Professional Tailgater
Posted on | August 30, 2010 | No Comments
With football season rapidly approaching, it becomes time to check out the required tailgating equipment list.
The food part is easy, you buy it new each time and rotate some of the primary items to avoid repetition. But, there are a few basics you’re going to bring to each tailgating party. A solid table that folds up is needed and most importantly a good grill that will cook a variety of different types of items.
You don’t want anything too heavy, bulky or hard to transport.
This year, in my never ending search for a quality grill that was easy to transport, I decided to try out the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill. I must admit that the name of the grill caught my eye right from the start. What I immediately didn’t like about the grill was the cost.
While yes, I know that with a greater price usually comes greater quality; I didn’t know that I wanted to fork over $300-$400 on a grill that I carried to college football games. Read more

As a bartender, I’m always trying to improve the quality of my frozen drinks.
Most blenders just won’t hold up to crushing the ice, and the ones that can handle it never blend the ice enough. I was always left with chunks in my drinks and complaints form my customers! Other margarita blenders just don’t measure up, or cost an arm and a leg…or at least a couple of finger tips.
After getting fed up with regular blenders and cheap margarita makers, I decided enough was enough! I was on a mission to make the perfect frozen drink, not just at work, but at my parties too.
Then I discovered The Margaritaville Key West Blender (DM1000). Read more

Posted on | June 13, 2010 | 2 Comments
There are not many people who can honestly say that they do not enjoy the occasional margarita. Whether on a hot day, while relaxing by the pool, or as an addition to a favorite meal, margaritas are one of the most popular adult beverages.
Of course, this may be due to the fact that margaritas are refreshing, delicious, and fun to drink, whether with a few pals or at an exciting summer party.
While many people think of margaritas as a drink to be enjoyed at a bar or restaurant, margaritas can now be enjoyed at home or wherever the need occurs with the use of a portable margarita mixer.
What Can The Margaritaville Explorer Blender Do?
This Margaritaville Explorer Blender (DM0900) is a battery powered device that can be taken anywhere the owner sees fit.
While most blenders are not well equipped to chop ice and have difficulty making frozen drinks, this margarita maker is specially designed with a variety of pre-programmed blending settings to make perfectly smooth and enjoyable frozen beverages. In fact, on one set of batteries, this blender can make up to sixty drinks, mixing thirty-six ounces at a time.
Along with the ability to keep the drinks coming, this portable blender does not require inconvenient and messy cords, just a few batteries to keep the party going.

How to Make a Margarita – The Perfect Margarita
Posted on | June 12, 2010 | No Comments
How to Make a Margarita – The Perfect Margarita
How to make a margarita, an easy question and an even easier one to answer and master. There are predominantly two major ways to make them – a frozen margarita or a margarita on the rocks. We will talk about both, but the tougher question is what to put in your margarita. Some minimalists would argue that a margarita should only include 100% agave tequila while others, myself included agree that a classic margarita recipe should include 100% agave tequila, Cointreau and Grand Marnier for instance. I have included several recipes for you to try.
How To Make a Margarita – the Frozen Margarita
In order to make a frozen margarita you will need the following items:
A margarita machine, daiquiri machine, frozen drink machine or just a plain old blender A premium 100% agave tequila of your choice Cointreau or other orange liqueur and Grand Marnier if you wish – try it both ways A frozen margarita mix or fresh limes Ice
Typically all ingredients would be added at the same time in the margarita machine and blended evenly until smooth. Some margarita machines and other frozen drink machines make the process easier but taking the ice and shaving it for a better margarita drink. If using fresh ingredients like lemons and or limes instead of a margarita mix, be sure to juice the limes fully and toss the remains.
Here are a few frozen margarita recipes.
2 ounces of premium 100% blue agave tequila
1/2 ounces of fresh lime juice or Rose’s sweetened lime juice
3/4 ounce Cointreau
Splash sweet-and-sour mix or margarita mix
2 ounces of premium 100% blue agave tequila
2 ounces of fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
Ice
Blend as described above and serve in salted or unsalted margarita glasses. Its very straightforward but dont be afraid to mix up the ingredients and try some different margarita recipes and include some like a strawberry margarita or a mango margarita.
How To Make a Margarita – Margarita On The Rocks
In order to make a margarita on the rocks, you will need the following items:
A shaker A premium 100% agave tequila of your choice Cointreau or other orange liqueur and Grand Marnier if you wish – try it both ways A non frozen margarita mix or fresh limes Ice
Typically all ingredients would be added at the same time in the shaker along with a handful of ice, shaken – but not too hard – and then served in a salted or unsalted margarita glass. If using fresh ingredients like lemons and or limes instead of a margarita mix, be sure to juice the limes fully and toss the remains.
Here are a few frozen margarita recipes.
3 wedges lime or margarita mix
2 ounces gold tequila (Cuervo 1800)
1/2 ounce tequila (Cuervo white)
1 1/4 ounces Rose’s Lime Juice
1 splash orange Curaçao (Bols)
Crushed ice
1 oz Tequila
1 oz Blue Curacao
Splash of Lime juice
Splash of Lemon Lime Soda or margarita mix
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Ice
So now that we have shared how to make a margarita, try it both ways and mix up your ingredients, our blog has a lot of different margarita recipes for you to try next.

5 Great Additions to Make your Apartment the “place to Be”

5 Great Additions to Make your Apartment the “place to Be”
These days everyone is investing in improving their Home Theater system with new flat screens, high tech video game systems, HDDVD players and such. But if you really want to make your apartment the desired hang out spot and impress your friends, you’ll want to go beyond just beefing up the movie watching experience.
After a brainstorming session with a few friends, I have 5 additions to the rest of your apartment that’ll leave your friends nodding in a approval and make your place the place to be.
Kegerator- Cold beer? No one likes constant trips to the store to buy more beer because you just ran out. Then sometimes you have to wait for it to chill. Then you always have to throw out the mess of cans and bottles at the end of the night. Let’s by pass all that. Impress your friends, save time, and money by investing in a Kegerator. My friend Shane even built his own from scratch. He has a “Keg Donation” jar next to it that people actually donate to fill up the keg. Think of all the money saved in the long run.
Refrigerated Wine Chiller- Not a beer drinker? With this slick invention you can keep your wines chilled and constantly display that your taste in wine has become highly evolved since your days drinking it straight from a bag. If you’re on a budget, you can get a twelve bottle fridge for about , but if money is not an issue, look to the Marvel Three Zone Refridgerator . Not that I’m a wine expert or anything, but I do know that you need to keep those white wines chilled and those reds just a hair below room temperature.
I-Pod Stereo- It seems like everyone I know has an I-Pod, but what’s the good of having all your music in your pocket if you can’t blast your “Best of Hair Metal” play list while hanging with your friends? Thankfully, there are a wide variety of boom boxes that cater directly to playing I-Pods varying in features.
High Tech Coffee Machine- Do you hit up Starbucks all the time, spending 5 bucks a pop on a venti? Why not save yourself t a week by grabbing yourself a gourmet coffee machine, like the Philips Senseo Supreme Single Serve. Your body will thank you for the extra 15 minutes of sleep you’ll be able to get in the morning and then you can spend the extra 0 a month savings on something nice for your significant other. If you don’t have one, you can just spend it on me…that will suffice.
The Jimmy Buffet: Margaritaville® Frozen Concoction™ Maker- Personally, I’m not a huge frozen drink guy because I can’t stand to get brain freeze, but nothing says really good times better than a party that has margaritas, pina-coladas, or daiquiris. Unfortunately, we’ve all had the experience of trying to make these drinks for a party and finding out that standard blenders are only good for making clunky hard to drink margaritas. Luckily for us, the master of margaritas himself, Jimmy Buffet, has come to the rescue with the Margaritaville® Frozen Concoction™ Maker . All you do is add ice and your preferred ingredients, then the Concoction Maker does all the work for you. Just try not to lose that shaker of salt…of salt…of salt.
So there you have it. Sure, for most of these items you will be shelling out a couple of Benjamins, but the investment will be guarunteed to be well worth it and provide a number of great times at your apartment. I better get invited!
